Guidelines
Thanks for visiting our site.
Eltham East Primary School is a registered e-Smart School, promoting safe use of the internet and digital technologies. Through blogging, students have the opportunity to learn about appropriate online behaviours in an authentic and supervised setting. To ensure safety we have a few simple guidelines for everyone to follow.
No personal information such as students’ names, phone numbers, addresses, email addresses, dates of birth or anything that is likely to directly identify a student will ever be published on the site. To make sure, all comments and posts are checked and moderated by Mrs Casale before they are published.
IDENTIFICATION
ALL STUDENTS and CHILDREN
To protect our privacy, students using this blog site will identify themselves using their initials only. Do not enter your full name – we know who you are, and not everyone else needs to.
TEACHERS
Teachers can feel free to identify themselves by their title and last name (e.g. Mr Smith). We request that teachers from schools other than Eltham East P.S. identify their school (e.g. Mrs Jones, Happy Valley Primary School).
PARENTS and other ADULTS
Parents or grandparents who comment are asked to use their first name only so as not to identify their child (e.g. Emma – JP’s mum, rather than Emma Smith – JP’s mum. Other adults please identify yourselves by your first and last name.
Other than that, we just ask that all comments are respectful and constructive and are posted in the spirit of learning and sharing ideas. In 3C we are learning how to write Quality Comments and we encourage you to review the guidelines with your child as they become familiar with leaving Quality Comments.

August 14, 2015 at 10:57 pm (5 years ago)Hi all,
Here are a couple of interesting facts about rainforests:
The tropical rainforest is a forest of tall trees, in a region that is generally warm all year round. An average of 50 to 260 inches of rain falls yearly.
Bye for now,

October 23, 2015 at 7:51 am (4 years ago)Hi 3C,
My best experience at camp was going on the flying fox that went over the gully. It was my best experience because we got to have more than 2 turns on it. Bye, bye.
